The Microsoft Press brand has decided to go in Germany a future after the book department of the software company, the global marketer Pearson and dpunkt.verlag were able to agree on the publication of German translations.
Heidelberger dpunkt.verlag will release exclusively translations of the book program of the IT group from next year under the popular label Microsoft Press. Stock selection will reflect the whole breadth of the US program and in addition to books for developers and certification candidates also include beginner books about Windows and Office. The first titles will probably appear in early summer, 2015.
After become known about a year ago the termination of international cooperation between Microsoft and O'Reilly department of education group Pearson took over the marketing and distribution of the book program. The dpunkt.verlag's main licensee for computer and photography books in German-speaking Pearson and Microsoft Press will run as an independent imprint.
The to April 2014, published at the Cologne O'Reilly Microsoft Press titles remain apparently still commercially available.
